This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

The Data Sciences Internship is a 10 week program where you will perform meaningful work with an experience HPE team. Interns in this program will design, develop and apply programs, methodologies and systems based on advanced analytic models (e.g. advanced statistics, operations research, computer science, process) to transform structured and unstructured data into meaningful and actionable information insights that drive decision making. They will use visualization techniques to translate analytic insights into understandable business stories (eg. descriptive, inferential and predictive insights).

The Data Analytics Intern will apply basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to be part of the analysis and validation of data sets, solutions, and the end-user experience. This intern will aid in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a client's metadata based on analytic objectives. This intern will load data into the infrastructure and contribute to the creation of the hypothesis matrix and prepare a portion of the data for the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)/hypotheses.

Additionally they will develop a good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. They will work on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require basic problem resolution, such as contribute to building models for the overall solution, validating results and performance, and selecting the model that supports the overall solution, will support the research, identification, and delivery of Data Science solutions to problems. Also they will support the visualization of the model's insights, user experience, and configuration tools for the analytics model. Receives general instructions on all work.

Requirements:

• Must be attending an accredited college or university Bachelors or Masters program focused on Data Science or a related field.
• Must be returning to school in Fall 2024 (Spring 2023 graduates would not qualify).

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Hourly: $45.25 - $54.75
