Customer Service Associate

Your Skills

Note: This is not a remote role

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive requests for elevator and/or escalator service from Schindler customers.
  • Provide Courteous, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to external and internal customers on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Assist with processing external customers’ calls for service.
  • Gather complete and accurate information as emergency contacts for customers.
  • Contact customers and communicate details of service request.

Your Experience

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

EXPEREINCE:

  • Six (6) months or more, of Customer Service responsibilities in a Call Center environment and/or face-to-face Customer Service responsibilities.
  • A general knowledge and application of data entry, general typing or PC activities.
  • A consistent ability to practice proper telephone etiquette when dealing with all types of customers.

CRITICAL SKILLS:

  • Expected to be skilled at providing excellent Customer Service and with appropriate etiquette in communications.
  • Typing and data entry.
  • Receives a high level of contacts with external and internal customers on a frequent and regular basis; the purpose of which is to manage and facilitate requests for elevator/escalator service and all relative and subsequent actions.
  • Expected to receive a moderate level of direction on an infrequent basis.
  • Expected to dispense judgments relative to job responsibilities and prioritization of dispatching; more complicated situations requiring decisions are deferred to management.
