Corporate Tax & Finance Accounting Manager

What this position is about:

The incumbent is a key member of the Corporate Accounting and Reporting (CA&R) team that prepares JTI consolidated IFRS reporting. The primary objective and responsibility of this position is to produce high quality, timely IFRS financial tax accounting & corporate accounting reporting for JTI and JT (parent company) management.

This role offers professional development opportunities and would suit a motivated and committed individual willing to progress with Corporate Accounting or other Finance departments within JTI.

What will you do:

• Support the Effective Tax Rate reporting process
• Support the excise tax review process
• Perform analytical review for non-tax P&L and BS items
• Manage JSOX compliance for tax
• Handle other ad-hoc projects

Who are we looking for:

• University Degree in Finance
• Chartered / certified accountant
• Qualified with a public accounting firm, preferably big four (3-5 years experience) or other accounting firm of similar size
• Experience in a consolidation/reporting function is an asset
• Experience with tax accounting is an asset
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) is a must
• Ability to analytically review accounting system data (SAP is preferable)
• Financial accounting experience (IFRS or US GAAP knowledge is preferable)
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at a minimum), advanced level (basic knowledge of macros is a plus)
• Strong communication skills
• Stress resistant, calm under pressure, team player and positive attitude
• Open-minded, willing to work and interact with colleagues from different horizon
