We are now looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Social Responsibility / Sustainability Expert (f/m/d). The position can be located in Zurich (Switzerland), Hallbergmoos (close to Munich, Germany) or Dortmund (Germany) to lead, develop, and implement strategies that will meet sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive the sustainability strategy, conceptualizing, and developing the vision and strategy
• Represent the sustainability efforts internally and externally, uncover strategic opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions
• Overall responsibility for the success and long-term vision of sustainability, as well as for integration and alignment of sustainability across key businesses and functions
• Create competitive advantage from sustainability initiatives by evaluating current strategies and processes to determine how to increase practices in the future
• Identify and monitor the most material topics in terms of risk and opportunity
• Engage and advise the leadership team and other internal stakeholders on priority sustainability issues and emerging topics
• Responsible for environmental sustainability reporting strategy and related data collection needs
• Drive efforts toward advancing sustainability reporting and ratings performance (e.g. reasonable assurance, integrated reporting, impact reporting)
• Build and execute a forward-thinking corporate sustainability program that can be effectively implemented at all levels of the company; internally and externally communicated
• Engage industry on Net-Zero Roadmap via associations and consortia and actively network and interact with third party actors, e.g., international organizations and associations
• Establish, monitor, and report sustainability performance goals and metrics
• Establish close working relationships with business / functional leaders to develop an understanding of their local sustainability issues and needs
• Provide sustainability education and training to stakeholders, as well as the broader communities in which we conduct business
• Facilitate, support, motivate and recognize business units' sustainability efforts
• Role model company values, culture, and ethical standards and hold teams to the same standard
• Active participation in well-regarded professional organizations that focus on CR and sustainability

Requirements

• MBA or advanced degree in relevant field of studies
• Experience managing a sustainability program or related program or function.
• Demonstrated ability to work across all functions within an organization to deliver enterprise-wide change initiatives
• Track record of conducting due diligence across environmental and social topics
• Solid understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (SASB, GRI, TCFD)
• Prior experience in devising and/or implementing a sustainability program: work on strategy, policy development, program development, goal setting, reporting, internal management systems, etc.
• Experience working across multiple geographies and operating effectively within a global and diverse population
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate trends and issues in business and society that affect the Company’s agenda and reputation.
• Excellent written communications skills including public speaking, meeting facilitation and presentations.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Specific experience in one of the key disciplines: environment, community relations, supply chain, diversity, etc.
• Visionary, creative, & strategic thinker
• Prepared to travel internationally
