BayWa r.e. Bioenergy GmbH develops, builds and operates biogas projects in Germany and other European markets. We also offer 360° services for third-party operators: technical, biological and commercial plant management, providing on-site plant personnel if required. In addition, we offer an all-round service for the procurement of raw materials and, last but not least, we also take care of the marketing of bioenergy and the resulting fermentation products.
Due to our dynamic growth, we are looking for you as Controller (f/m/d) to strengthen our team, independent of location, with immediate effect.
Your responsibilities
- Cost controlling for the group holding: Regular as well as case-oriented budget-vs-actuals analyses, including deriving recommendations to the management; includes regular interfaces with asset managers who are in charge of the several projects and SPVs
- Planning and reporting support for the board: Annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, monthly reports, case-oriented summaries; mostly according to IFRS; scope covers the whole group, incl. project companies
- Support external financial audits, in particular the annual audit (HGB + IFRS)
- Operate financial models: keeping them up to date and upgrading them when necessary to adjusted shareholder/ board needs
Your profile
- University degree preferably in economics or business administration with a focus on controlling and accounting
- 2-3 years professional experience in relevant field, having worked in international structures is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in HGB and IFRS are mandatory; experience in an auditing company and/or as an international accountant additionally credited
- Proficient MS Office skills, especially in MS Excel
- Extraordinary analytical skills with an agile mindset, affinity for numbers and KPIs and, last but not least, a fair understanding and appreciation for the technical side of the core business and its engineering team
- Passion for renewable energies and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
