Community And Event Manager

The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is looking for an experienced and motivated Community and Event Manager for 30 hours per week to support with the implementation of projects and organize excellent events for the REDpreneur Program - a global Business skills and Enterprise Development Program within the International Operations and Cooperation Department of AutRC. This position has the responsibility for every aspect of an event, from planning stage to evaluating success afterwards. Another responsibility of the position is the organization and handling of projects within the REDpreneur program which enhances business skills development and supports innovative ventures of Red Cross branches and beyond.

• Strategic and operational planning, organization, and realization of REDpreneur online and face to face events with attention to financial and time constraints
• Conduct research activities to choose upon best combination of quality and cost
• Negotiations with suppliers to obtain the most favorable conditions
• Relationship Management and constant communication with the REDpreneur Community (participants, funder, supporter, partner, and further key stakeholder)
• Evaluation of event’s success and submission of reports
• Planning and set up of an online training program in collaboration with the REDpreneur team
• Ongoing project implementation support
• Administrative tasks (support with narrative and financial reporting etc.)

• Educational background in economic science, marketing, communication or event management
• Experience in project coordination and Event management or in a social business/NGO
• Project and finance coordination skills (including budgeting and budget control)
• Entrepreneurial thinking and experience in social entrepreneurship
• Very good communication and networking skills as well as ability to work in an international team
• Very good IT skills (Word, Excel, ppt, Outlook, Canva, Notion)
• Good German and English speaking and writing skills required
• Experience in social entrepreneurship is an asset
