As of March 1st, 2023, we are looking for a Scientific Communications Manager (m/f/d) to support within the Consumer Healthcare (CHC) for our customer, which is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
You work closely with the Scientific Communication & Labelling sector at the location in Frankfurt/Main.

IHRE AUFGABEN

• Serve as functional subject matter expert (publications & medical education) for scientific communications team
• Generate annual Scientific Communications plans in conjunction with the Project teams based on the scientific needs and how these activities will support the overall brand strategy
• Drive development and execution of scientific publications including the release of new data, re-analysis of existing data, expert opinion, and consumer/patient real world/attitudinal research
• Drive development and execution of global medical education activities
• Understand and follow the various compliance policies/guidelines in place for scientific publications and medical education activities
• Explore and execute innovative approaches to maximize the value of the data that is generated by the CHC
• Establish strong working relationships and actively collaborates with key internal external partners (CMO Publications Team, CHC Science Affairs, Data Generation & PV, Growth Hub, Procurement, Legal, Sanofi Medical Hub, Scientific experts, medical communications agencies…)
• Develop annual budget plan for assigned scientific communications projects and manage/track the budget
• Manage external vendors/medical communications agencies assisting with medical content planning and execution
• Handle all financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects (Purchase orders, Invoices, and budget forecasts)
• Ensure appropriate review and approval of scientific communications projects
• Work independently and proactively on difficult assignments, “owns” consequences of errors, and emphasizes “lessons learned” in approaching and planning future activities
• Deploy assessments/surveys to help to collect feedback and orient future communications strategies

IHR PROFIL

• Advanced scientific degree or equivalent required (PhD, MD, PharmD) and experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry/Consumer Health Industry
• Experience relevant to publication planning and execution throughout product life cycle required
• Proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams involving multi-functional disciplines required
• In-depth knowledge of medical literature and drug information databases; strong ability to evaluate and communicate scientific data
• Experience within medical affairs (e.g. Medical Communications) is desirable
• Experience with Veeva and Matrix would be very important
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects including vendor’s oversight and quality/compliance issues
• Project Management skills in a global environment
• Strong network abilities: Interactions with multiple functions across the organization as well as with external providers and partners
• Ability to propose pragmatic and innovative solutions to improve quality systems

Language skills:

• Fluent spoken and written English
• An Additional language is desirable
