The opportunity

 

This role is responsible for delivery of the Coaching strategy and services to senior stakeholders at EY to agreed standards and processes. It will work closely with the client facing business leaders and Talent colleagues at Executive and Region level, manage and maintain effective relationships and work to resolve or escalate issues as they arise.   As required, it will work to gather feedback from regions (business and Talent) to identify opportunities for improvement of Coaching solutions and delivery methods.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Understand and support execution of the agreed Talent Development strategy and roadmap
  • Understand and contribute to delivery of the Coaching strategy, standards and performance globally
  • Deliver coaching to priority populations in Leadership Development programs (e.g. Elevate, G360) and the GCSP community 
  • Manage the network of coaches and provide advice, match coaches to candidates, and share best practices
  • Where required, deliver coaching (i.e. when the Region network does not have capacity or capability)
  • Run supervision circles for reginal/area coaches to ensure coaches are receiving support to uphold ICF coaching quality standards
  • Work to manage and maintain strong connections with Region Talent teams (manage 1-2-1 discussions and/or Region networks) to understand and manage demand for Coaching 
  • Work with Region TD specialists to capture feedback on Coaching services. Identify and present opportunities for continuous improvement of the global service offering 
  • Where required, work flexibly as part of project teams/squads as a subject matter expert (SMR). Provide technical insights and knowledge to support design and implementation of new or improved Talent services and solutions
  • Where required, prepare and deliver coaching events/workshops, participate in team interviews, create materials, presentations, agendas and other relevant materials, manage logistics, administer assessments, organize the participants and venues
  • Due to the global nature of the role, travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required
  • Due to the global nature of the role, excellent written and verbal English language skills will be required
     

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities: 

 

  • Decisions relating to management of Coaching activities and events. 
  • Identify and match candidates to coaches or select appropriate facilitators to manage business stakeholders/teams 
  • Gather and analyze feedback and other data to monitor and assess service performance. Highlight opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze and leverage market insights to share best practices with Regions

 

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Talent colleagues (Executive, Region and Services) to manage deployment of Coaching solutions 
  • Manage a network of accredited coaches and HPT facilitators in the business and Talent  
  • Monitor performance and ensure effective feedback to drive improvement 
  • Proactively participate in meetings to ensure effective execution of Coaching strategy and associated processes
  • Help to establish, prepare and optimise meetings and networks with global and Region Talent teams to communicate changes to strategy or solutions

 

Skills and attributes for success


To qualify for the role you must have 

 

  • 5 years plus experience of coaching business executives / experience in a professional services environment preferred 
  • A good understanding of the EY matrix and ways of working
  • Strong understanding/champion of Transformative Leadership at EY 
  • Possess a growth mindset and the ability to create a growth oriented coaching culture
  • Strong business acumen – ability to focus specialism initiatives on priorities of greatest value
     

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Knowledge of Talent specialism strategies, trends, leading practices, services and solutions 
  • Ability to participate effectively in virtual teams and networks across diverse and dispersed geographies
  • Proactive consulting skills that drive business impact; able to interpret business requirements and, where prioritized, co-create the most relevant & pragmatic approach
  • Strong teaming skills; collaborate effectively across talent ecosystem and wider EY firm 
  • Strong communication skills for sharing thought leadership across EY and externally to enhance EY reputation 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - the ability to operate within budget and effective time frames
  • Strong research and analytical skills to track and interpret trending directions for specialism and identify potential future options
  • Respected ability to cope with ambiguity; to drive change and performance outcomes in a complex and agile environment
     

What we look for

 

  • Experience in a closely related Talent role bringing insights and experience of service design and delivery
  • Demonstrable experience of collaborating with Talent or business colleagues to understand and interpret business issues and of proposing / recommending appropriate action, including proposing changes to existing ways of working to optimise performance
  • Experience of scoping and developing effective proposals for change/change requests (and associated business cases) to enable Talent leaders to effectively consider and prioritize requests for change
  • Strong experience of working effectively in globally dispersed teams to enhance services, frameworks, processes and standards 
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a central team to manage networks and of sharing insights and best practices to help enhance service delivery and performance at a local level 
  • Demonstrable experience of working flexibly as part of a project team/squad to providing subject matter expertise and ensure the effective design and quality of service solutions 
  • Demonstrable experience of working in fast-paced, ambiguous, stressful environments to deliver required results
  • ICF Credential or working towards ICF ACC for Counsellor and EYCC coaching and ICF ACC+ for all other coaching is required
  • Active membership in related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required 
  • Educated to degree level 
  • Higher professional or master’s qualification is preferred, not required.
