Buyer (m/f/d)
As a Buyer you will lead the purchasing activities for new product development, serial production and aftermarket/spare parts based on the sourcing strategies as well as the business requirements in parallel. You also optimize the total cost and assure the Quality/ Delivery/ Cost objectives of purchased items. Personal development and continuous improvements are a natural part of the regular work.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage the working relationships with suppliers for the Konz site in cooperation with other purchasing organization and site functions
- Perform all activities within the portfolio of ‘Optimized Total Cost of Ownership like quality, delivery, cost, manufacturing, investments, RFQ's, negotiations while ensuring product life cycle parts availability from the supplier
- Secure innovation & sustainability through the supplier network
- Drive self-development activities and continuous process improvements
- Contribute to the commodity strategies and the achievements of Purchasing leading performance indicators
- Jointly work with Supplier Development to secure application of the Supplier Development toolkit
What we expect from you:

- You should have cooperative and communication skills to be able to work cross functionally both outside and inside of your organization.
- You are well organized and structured and believe there is always room for improvements.
- You have a university degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar with experience in purchasing/Supply Chain area in relevant industry.
- Technical knowledge and negotiating skills are a must.
- You are fluent in English, verbal and written communication.
