We are looking for a
Business Controller
to join the Business Control Team of Business Unit Propulsion in Marine Power.
You will perform the controlling activities for all Propulsion related business in Norway as well as for the global Research and Development (R&D) activities in BU Propulsion and in BU Project Services.
The position is temporary.
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Planning, forecasting and reporting of the Profit & Loss of Propulsion business in the Norwegian legal entity, including analysis of deviations
- Analysis and breakdown of the above by Product Lines and products, in tight cooperation with the Product Line Controllers
- Monitoring and ensuring the correct and timely invoicing of engineering works from Norway to contracting companies
- Planning and controlling of capacity costs and cost centres including calculation of hourly rates
- Monitoring of assets and investment projects. Creation of investment proposals.
- Supporting the financial planning, forecasting, monitoring and reporting of all R&D activities in BU Propulsion across countries and Product Lines
- Review of R&D project costs in cooperation with Project Managers and Product Line Controllers and providing the forecast input to relevant companies
- Monitoring and reporting of EU- and other fundings for R&D projects
- Provide support for controlling and funding of R&D activities in BU Project Services
- Support special projects and perform ad hoc tasks of Business Control team in BU Propulsion.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Personal drive, being used to taking initiative and being proactive
- Educational level: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in business/finance
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant (controlling) experience
- Good SAP skills, particularly in FI, CO and Project System
- Very good knowledge and user skills of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel and PowerPoint
- Good financial knowledge, reporting and analysing skills
- Ability to work effectively both as an independent financial specialist as well as
as part of the Business Control community and the global Propulsion organization - Development mindset with a proactive can-do attitude, not being afraid of challenge
- Ability to handle multiple projects / tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills, fluent spoken and written English
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow along the business requirements
- Ability to work under time pressure and with tight deadlines
The preferrable location for this position is Finland, Norway, Germany or Netherlands, but also other locations might be considered.
The position is temporary as a substitution for a colleague on parental leave and provides a good opportunity for job a short-term personal development. We expect you to be able to join in March or latest April 2024 (depending on availability) and stay until August 2024.
