Your contribution to TenneT

The unit Energy System Planning develops perspectives for the energy transition and design of the future grid. In the team of Alan Croes we've an opening for a Business Analyst. Are you open for a next step in your career and do you want to contribute to the energy transition with a team of 8 passionate professionals?

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are well defined and provide value to end-users. Together with business stakeholders and end-users you define and optimize software applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and translate these into software development requirements.
Together with the Product Owner, domain experts and end-users you discuss the acceptance criteria and write the requirements with the focus on maximizing the value for Energy System Planning while taking into account the broader goals of TenneT. You will collaborate with the IT department from a business perspective so that requirements defined are fit-for-purpose, meet business objectives and architecture principals.

Your key responsibilities include

• Determine and develop user requirements for software applications, to ensure maximum usability in alignment with the product owner, business stakeholders and end-users;
• Manage enhancement requests, ensuring that they align with business goals and objectives;
• Ensure thorough quality assurance;
• Ensure comprehensive functional documentation; periodically review functional documentation based on continuous improvements and lessons learnt;
• Demonstrate and encourage end-to-end thinking;
• Foster open dialogue and transparency in line with the cultural values of TenneT; Ownership, Courage and Connection.

Your profile and background

• Bachelor degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field;
• At least 3 years of experience in business analysis and/or functional application management;
• A customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Experience with business process analysis, design and documentation;
• Relevant experience in the software development lifecycle and experience in an agile way of working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technology concepts to key stakeholders;
• Fluent in English and Dutch language (or an interest to learn).

Additional information

• The weekly working time is 40 hours;
• Type of contract is indefinite;
• Job interviews for this position will be (partly) in English. Please send us your application document in English as well;
• Salary in grade 8 (between € 3879,- and € 7660,-) or grade 9 (between € 4369,- and € 8594,-) conform Tennet CAO and based on a fulltime agreement. Salary and grading is depending on work experience, (education) level and relevant knowledge.
