You will join the Polaris team, which transforms Swisscom's raw network data into mobility and network insights at a national scale. You will work alongside our team of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists who are dedicated to developing data and machine learning products. We create and apply algorithms, design and construct systems and draw on expertise from fields such as machine learning, graph theory, distributed systems, data mining and privacy engineering.
- Varied tasks from Big Data engineering to software development and DevOps
- Focus on creating value from the vast amount of data available at Swisscom, working in an international team with significant cultural diversity
- Interact with data scientists, Big Data and DevOps engineers as well as product managers and business developers
- Support open source and encourage experimentation with a variety of technologies, tools and languages
Your skills
- Sound experience with Kubernetes, Docker and building scalable and robust REST APIs
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, etc.) and databases (relational or NoSQL) with an interest in computer security
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of CI/CD and bash scripting
What makes you stand out
- Highly curious and motivated to learn and experiment with new technologies, data and tools
- Knowledge of software development in Python or Scala
- Very good English and fluent in German or French
