Your role
As an attentive and independently working automation engineer, you will identify the need for automation in the current and future manufacturing of medical technology products and take care of the development and implementation of appropriate solutions.
In doing so, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- writing requirement specifications or URS (User Requirements Specifications)
- contacting suppliers and conducting feasibility studies
- objectively evaluating feasibility studies in order to select the supplier with the most suitable concept
- developing automation solutions until series production readiness and ensuring implementation in series production
- supporting the elimination of malfunctions in production and promoting the further development of automation concepts
- actively seeking and incorporating ideas and framework conditions from our worldwide locations for the cross-site use of automation solutions
Your profile
- completed engineering studies, e.g. in mechatronics or mechanical engineering, and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- demonstrable experience in the successful development and implementation of automation solutions in production
- very good understanding of manufacturing processes and production technology - preferably from the field of medical technology
- knowledge in the qualification of equipment and processes and corresponding regulatory requirements according to ISO 13485, FDA and MDR
- strong communication skills and fluent German and English - French or Chinese are an advantage
- the ability to convey the advantages of automation solutions and thus be able to inspire and motivate colleagues
- enjoy working in international teams with travel to a limited extent
