What you`ll do 
You will join the AI Ethics team within SAP’s AI Unit. In a dynamic, fun and start-up-like environment you will have a great opportunity to be working at the intersection of regulation, government relation and AI development. 
As (Associate) AI Policy Analyst, you will carry out policy research and analysis around AI and technology & innovation policy. You will also contribute to managing engagements with policy makers, agencies, organizations, and executives. You will work closely with teams across SAP including Development, Legal, Government Affairs, Marketing and Compliance. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our organization's approach to AI ethics and ensuring that our AI technologies align with societal values and legal requirements. The position can be filled as part time position.
Your tasks include:

• Monitor relevant policy developments on national and international level as well as developments in the relevant academic literature.
• Create reports, policy briefs, presentations, briefings, and other materials reflecting research and analysis conducted by the SAP AI Ethics Team.
• Assess impact of policy and regulation on SAP products and processes 
• Establish and oversee strategic partnerships in the spirit of multi-stakeholder governance by collaborating with key AI actors (governmental agencies, public sector institutions, civil society organizations, start-ups and associations).
• Act as a subject matter expert on AI ethics, providing advice and recommendations to executives and other teams within the organization
• Contribute to the facilitation of events, workshops and seminars.

What you bring 

• Master’s degree at the intersection of politics and computer science
• Track record of research in AI Ethics policy and governance 
• Excellent understanding of AI Ethics approaches across industry 
• Experience in researching and shaping digital policy, both in private and public sector 
• International network of AI Ethics practitioners   
• Experience with communications and marketing tasks
• Proven project management skills 
• Excellent English and German language skills oral and written  
• Getting things done mindset
