You bring cutting-edge technologies like Large Language Models into productive use. Your expertise contributes to bring research ideas from theory to practice in automotive series development. Through your work, you help us, IAV, and our customers and partners, to continue to remain at the forefront of technological innovation and to drive the future of mobility.

Your Tasks:

• You are responsible for the development and implementation of (generative) AI-based technology components.
• You ensure the integration of technology components into prototypes and software applications.
• You work with subject matter experts to improve technical applications based on user feedback.
• You contribute to the transfer of technology prototypes into productive services.
• You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of research and trends in cutting-edge technologies.

Necessary Skills:

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or a related field of study
• PhD and/or several years of professional experience with a focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence or data science
• Python programming experience for the implementation of solutions and prototypes
• Confident handling of common program libraries for machine learning and generative AI such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, HuggingFace and Langchain
• Experience in collaborative software development
• Insight into the latest trends in artificial intelligence, such as generative AI and large language models
• Team-oriented way of working with excellent communication skills
• German and english language skills of at least C1 level

Desired Skills:

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with frameworks such as GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes
• Openness to other fields of knowledge and disciplines and a high willingness to learn
• Experience in the automotive industry
