We are looking for …

Academy Manager EMEA

SoftwareOne Academy

Someone to be our Academy Manager in EMEA . You’ll be owning the management of the SoftwareOne Academy’s learning programmes across a number of countries and regions in EMEA. Externally you will be working closely with external partners such as Education Charities, Universities, Community Colleges and Government representatives of talent funding. Internally you will work with stakeholders at every level to foster relationships, understand business requirements for talent within work force planning and then facilitate the journey of our young learners as they progress through the Academy from intake to profitability. You will work closely with the global Academy team, currently in 15 countries.

The goal is to ensure every programme is delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organisation.

Responsibilities

External providers/stakeholder management

  • Research and familiarise yourself with any local/regional Government laws on running education outreach programmes, ensuring compliance with any funding initiatives.
  • Form partnerships with local education institutes and/or charities as necessary to select and onboard learners into the SoftwareOne Academy, in line with business needs.
  • Manage external training providers involved in delivering training to SoftwareONE Academy learners.
  • Partner with AWS, Microsoft, and GCP external stakeholders
  • Organize community Outreach for graduations.

Internal stakeholder management

  • Become a business partner within your region, and for your allocated Service line or practice, facilitating and leading conversations about the Academy for pipeline.
  • Reporting to executives on academy standing in their regions.
  • Work with the global SoftwareOne Academy team in other regions to ensure consistency of the programme.
  • Work with Instructional Designers and Global Curriculum Lead on any adaptations/iterations on our curriculum to meet the needs of the business.
  • Post updates on cohort and activities in the region on Yammer and LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate with internal Academy stakeholders for smooth processing of all activities.

Running Academy cohorts

  • Manage the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of learner activity whilst engaged in the Academy programme.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to all Academy Associates and/or Apprentices (learners in the programme)
  • Monitor learners’ attendance, engagement, performance, and achievement, maintaining accurate records for reporting.
  • Take an active role in the induction and onboarding of Academy Associates and Apprentices (OneStart).
  • Facilitate training sessions as needed within the curriculum.
  • Act as first point of contact for all Academy learners in region.
  • Manage business stakeholders during the cohort.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our learners beyond their Academy journey – managing and facilitating ongoing interactions within our Academy Alumni community.

What we need to see from you
  • A strong L&D and instructional design background.
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Experience across the EMEA region, with a strong preference on experience in/exposure to EMEA markets.
  • Strong relationship management, able to navigate a complex internal landscape with multiple stakeholders and form strong relationships externally with Education institutes, Charities and Government representatives as needed.
  • Strong organizational and administrative ability in order to monitor student attendance, engagement, and achievement.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, project management principles.
  • Interest in, or knowledge of, local/regional government funding for educational outreach, including apprenticeship schemes.
