Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and expedite orders in an accurate manner using SAP
- Able to take on some administrative tasks
- Liaise with other departments in order to support the team
Requirements:
- You are a quick learner and a structured thinker
- You stay on top of things
- You are a communicative person and your English is fluent. Any additional languages known will be a plus
- You have a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office package, SAP a plus
General information:
- You are currently enrolled in university
- You will be able to work between 15 – 20 hours per week during your semester, and up to 40 hours per week during your semester break
- You will ideally stay with us for a longer period of time to support our international team
