We are looking for you to join us in the Global Clients division. Our aim is to redefine our strategic positioning in this market segment with many leading insurance market players.

We are looking for a qualified and motivated property treaty underwriter in our Products and Solutions team, also acting as an actuarial consultant for the property underwriting community in Global Clients/North America.

Your job

• Understanding the property business of our global clients, with the goal of identifying global market trends and assessing their potential impact on line-of-business strategies and business opportunities
• Underwriting and performing quality control for property treaty reinsurance business for complex accounts with worldwide exposures
• Contributing to ensuring consistent underwriting quality and pricing standards in particular for treaties with complex structures
• Contributing to enhancing our departmental tools for pricing and portfolio monitoring and contributing to the development of the UWPF
• Focusing on data analytics by reviewing and analysing property underwriting data, bringing in new perspectives and insights to measure portfolio progress and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Assisting in negotiations and exchanges on pricing topics with clients and brokers in close coordination with client management
• Participating in working groups, expert groups, internal and external training, workshops and reviews

Your profile

• University degree in actuarial science, statistics or equivalent quantitative studies
• Ideally, knowledge of the relevant MR treaty pricing and reporting tools and steering mechanism (VBM); experience in application of external catastrophe modelling tools (e.g. RMS) desirable
• Exposure to data analytics, understanding of data modelling tools/data models
• Ideally, experience with client audits and discussion of underwriting and portfolio steering questions with clients and brokers
• Ability to guide others and to work effectively with people at varying levels
• Very good command of written and spoken English
