We are looking for a

Team Lead IT Operations (m/f/d)

(unlimited) Choose one of our locations, with 80% Mobile Office: Berlin, Münster, Verl or Tallinn


Role responsibilities:

  • Setting up IT Operation services and processes
  • Taking the lead in defining, implementing and supporting the operating models for the service(s)
  • Drafting and negotiating SLAs relating to the assigned service
  • Manage assigned service(s) to ensuring that the ongoing provision of services meets agreed requirements
  • Collecting required data and reports for analysis and to facilitate effective service monitoring and performance
  • Planning and conducting regular service reviews
  • Taking the lead in coordination of incidents and problem solution related to service operation
  • Serving as the point of escalation for major incidents relating to the service (acting as a Major Incident Manager for coordination of major incidents)
  • Define and keep up to date service dependency and impact models, ensure service components in CMDB are up to date
  • Collaborate with service(s) business stakeholders and translate their needs into requirements, and solution specifications for selected service(s); including consolidation and optimization of service(s) operational improvement requirements and alignment on a common way of working among different international teams
  • Plan and drive stakeholder engagement and communication, act as central point of contact
  • Create and maintain service(s) support documentation and conduct trainings to the stakeholders
  • Ensure service(s) adherence to ITSM processes, standards, and policies, and monitor the delivery
  • Execute a systematic approach to continuous improvement of service(s) by performing regular reviews of service(s) KPI’s and defining requirements and actions needed to increase the overall quality and efficiency of the service(s).


Role requirements:

  • A degree and relevant working experience as a team lead
  • Experience as a manager of IT service or as one of ITSM operational process roles (change manager, incident coordinator) in the organization where ITSM practices were established
  • Project management planning and organizational skills
  • Strong service attitude - you build lasting customer relationships and strive for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle various cultures, willingness to work internationally and collaboratively with other teams
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
  • Certification in ITIL, DevOps, or Agile and knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira products would be beneficial
  • Good planning skills
  • Exceptional self and time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and structured and systematic approach to assigned tasks
  • Excellent in communication and fluent in English
