EnBW is one of the largest energy supply companies in Germany and Europe, supplying electricity, gas, and energy-related products and services to 5.5 million customers. Within its trading business unit, the trading IT acts as a service provider and enabler in providing a broad range of tools, methods, and services to the trading needs.
The Trading Workbench team provides a trading specific development platform enabling different stakeholders across the trading business and IT departments to develop production grade software by providing a toolset and consulting approach to accelerate development activities across the organization.
Among a series of products, the Trading Workbench team delivers value with specific focus on shared tools, enabling traders and analysts to access historical and near-real-time data (market & fundamental), create/review results from consistent portfolio and fundamental models, and visualize the results in a flexible and customizable way. The tools enhance capacity for finding market opportunities, managing risk, pricing complex ad-hoc contracts, and reducing operational risk.

We are currently recruiting for a Solution Manager (f/m/d) to join our busy and dynamic team in Karlsruhe, Germany. We will consider flexible working or home working arrangements to ensure you work in the environment that suits you best.
Vielfältige Aufgaben
As Solution Manager you will be responsible for supporting the business unit, driving the set-up and operation of the development platform and last but not least organizing and managing the operational team.
Some of the multi-faceted tasks of this challenging position are as follows:
Consulting the development teams in setup and operation of microservices and applications used on the platform- Architectural consulting, joint design and modularization of services and applications
- Development and operation of business applications and services following business requirements clarification
- Definition and provision of business interfaces for integration into the overall landscape
- Design, development, and operation of the trading specific development platform, as well as operational optimization by implementing a DevOps development model
- Provision of platform-supporting systems (logging, monitoring, alerting, etc.)
- Organization and management of the operational team, including representation of the team to management and business
- Creation, coordination and prioritization of team and project roadmaps, as well as user stories
Überzeugendes Profil
- Professional experience: IT technology / technical processes in the energy trading environment / operation of enterprise business applications / experience in managing both internal and external service providers / setting up, managing, and optimizing first and second level support
- First Leadership experience: IT projects, job-specific leadership, advantage: change experienced
- Technical knowledge: Energy trading (ideally: various value creation steps) / IT technology, especially operation of business applications / infrastructure and databases / software solutions for energy trading / senior level knowledge of containerized applications / good knowledge of cloud technologies
- Languages: German is a plus; fluent English is mandatory
