R & D Position To Achieve A Phd Degree (M/F/D) “New Gas Applications For Plasmas"

What you will enjoy doing

• In this role you will develop and optimize new processes and process gases for innovative Plasma and Arc Applications
• Your task includes the development of new diagnostic methods, route cause analysis, design of experiments and the execution of experiments
• Furthermore, the design of prototypes in cooperation with partners, the scientific investigation and evaluation of the prototypes by suitable measurement methods as well as the optimization are part of your tasks
• You will present the results of your work at national and international conferences, Arc Technologies workgroups and publish it in scientific papers
• In addition you will be located at Linde Technology center for Arc Technologies at Unterschleissheim near Munich
• Moreover you will be supervised by experienced PhD engineers with an excellent international network

What makes you great

• You have an university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics or related disciplines
• Preferably you possess an additional certification as International Welding Engineer
• You have already gained first specific experience in R&D, related to welding, Plasma treatment, Plasma surfacing
• Safety awareness is one of your strengths
• Also you are hands-on and you have first practical lab or R&D experience
• Planning & execution of experiments as well as programming is a plus in your profile
• You are ready to take responsibility, work independently, reliable, and enthusiastically
• Being a very good team player and open minded as well as creative is part of your profile
• You possess good communication skills
• Fluent in English language is mandatory, second foreign language is welcome
