The candidate will be responsible for managing projects with permanent contract related to international projects, with a focus on Europe. The candidate will be Project Manager about project linked to the specific supply of the Parma unit in the case of large projects managed by other units at an international level. The candidate will have precise indications on the objectives and scope of the project and will have to interface with internal and external customers and stakeholders to lead the team to the result within the time, costs, and expected quality level.
Main Activities
- Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Coordinate resources across the departments (Engineering, Procurement, On site activities)
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Manage the relationship with the internal client and all stakeholders
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and project reporting
- Risk management
Requirements
- Commercial project lead to implement customer investment projects in the field of intralogistics
- Coordination of contract-compliant project execution with all relevant stakeholders such as clients, subcontractors, authorities and interdisciplinary specialists departments
- Coordination of “Project Change Notice’s”
- Responsible for commercial project optimization
- Preparation and review of contracts as well as leading contract negotiations and ensuring risk minimization by applying back-to-back approach
- Securing of own claimable base and defending against claims incl. raising notices of concern / obstruction / default and requests for performance
- Project-related and contract-based risk management
- Monitoring of project budgets and costs in combination with project controlling
- Project forecasting including internal and external reporting
- Finalizing commercial part of tendering documents for procurement of intralogistic trades
- Sparring partner of Project Managers
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma or relevant studies
- At least 2 years of working experience as a project manager
- Good/excellent level of English, both written and oral
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Available to travel
Requirements
- Experience in project management of at least 4 years in plant engineering or automation systems projects.
- The specific material handling projects linked to the world of logistics and couriers are privileged.
- Experience of at least 2 years, even if not in project management, typically used in large automation systems at the material handling level. Preference in cross-belt projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Available for short-term business trips to both Europe and the United States
- Able to adapt to a rapidly evolving work context.
- Ability to work in a team, even with teams with an international profile.
- The knowledge of Microsoft Project (It is interesting but not binding)
