Tasks

This job involves the following:
  • Execute daily procurement activities and is the key person to drive procurement support activities forward: Purchase requisitions conversions, administration of purchase orders to ensure materials for production are delivered on time, update purchase order confirmations received from suppliers in the system and ensure the order confirmations are accurately maintained in the system, maintains records updated
  • SAP BRP project Super user/Sourcing team project member
  • Perform follow-up on missing order confirmation dates and educate suppliers to confirm each order in the agreed timeline
  • Price negotiations/Change notifications/Source new suppliers
  • Manage Past Due POs, identify the Past Due POs and contact the vendors by e-mail/phone to request the order to be delivered on time and educate suppliers to respect the need by date
  • Manage escalations (pull-ins and pushouts) as requested by Planning, to prevent production disruptions, delays, downtime and excess inventory.
  • Researches and provides constant status to department and management related to material shortages and suppliers’ capacity and capabilities
  • Resolve the issues encountered for the blocked invoices that generate delays to ensure the payment is being done at due date
  • Request quotations from suppliers based on the requests received from site
  • Participate in site meetings, Tier meetings etc, supplier meetings if the case.
  • Deliver process reports when requested
  • Support automation projects, translations and keeping notes of meetings and updating project plans.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in assembly industry with specialization in the Procurement / Supply Chain domain
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Good problem-solving skills and committed to continuous improvement
  • Detail oriented and with expertise in administrative processes and systems
  • The candidate should have prior experience in resolving issues pertaining to placing, changing, expediting and administrating of purchase orders for production material.
  • The candidate must understand production dynamics and be able to prioritize the tasks taking into consideration the urgency and impact
  • The candidate should have hands on experience in dealing with an ERP system as this role will involve extensive use of SAP and other legacy systems. The candidate should also have experience in dealing with web-based tools and should be comfortable with working on various reporting tools.
  • The candidate should have good PC skills and should be well versed with Microsoft Products like Excel and Word
  • Advanced/intermediate English and German language skills.
