Our client TrueOcean helps blue economy companies gain information about the ocean and seabed by making sensor data available in an organized way using SaaS solutions, analyzing it using algorithms and AI, and visualizing the results.

They are preparing technological progress for the ambitious expansion of renewable energy so that we can meet climate targets. In addition to Blue Economy solutions, we conduct international collaborative research in AI projects and are a partner in one of the first large consortia in the European GAIA-X initiative. We are funded by research grants, public funding from European, state and federal institutions, and commercial partners and customers. Our young, English-speaking team from the fields of computer science, geography and physics, is international and interdisciplinary in nature, and our infrastructure is based on Linux, Kubernetes, VMware, Hadoop, macOS, Windows and Office365. Tasks

What you will do:
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Partner with management, sales, product, customer success and design team to design, test and evolve lead nurturing tactics
  • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including blog posts, whitepapers, e-books, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.).
  • Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content (including offers).
  • Implement and optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. Master degree is a plus
  • Experience in marketing is preferred
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software in order to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Ability to write texts yourself
  • HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, marketing automation tools, newsletter tools, CMS
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Establish press and media contacts
