THE ROLE
Zattoo is creating the future of television, live and on demand. We build Apps for mobile, web and big screen on systems like Apple, Android, Samsung, Amazon Fire TV and many more. As the Product Owner Retention you’ll be collaborating with developers, designers and business stakeholders on a set of product components built to establish and improve User Retention.
You will be the go-to person for Marketing, Support and other departments for all product and technology-related questions about building a long-term relationship with Zattoo subscribers. Together with the Retention Squad, you will realise projects aimed at improving the user experience and comfort.
THE DTC PRODUCT TEAM
The DTC Product Team consists of 4 Product Owners and the Head of DTC Product. Together they are responsible for products that are built exclusively for Zattoo’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) users. Each PO works with a cross-functional Development Squad, formed according to the specific needs for building and maintaining the respective Product. While the Squads have the most possible technological autonomy to develop and release, they work closely with their Stakeholders and exchange ideas considering different needs for development. Work happens in close collaboration with the other POs where experiences, processes and approaches can be exchanged and challenged.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Full responsibility for maintaining and developing retention-related product components
- Planning, and coordinating work within the Retention Squad, using SCRUM methodology
- Translating business requirements into use cases and action points for the development team
- Partnering with stakeholders and squad members to brainstorm ideas for improving and developing the product building and committing to a quarterly roadmap for the product, balancing stakeholder needs, the team’s own initiatives and available resources.
- Prioritising development work and feature realisation in accordance with the company’s business goals.
- Supporting the squad members in their daily activities by coordinating and adjusting tasks and offering guidance.
- Being part of interdisciplinary projects that improve User Retention and Customer Relationship.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Experience in the digital product space, preferably as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Familiar with reading, analysing and applying business-related figures and indicators.
- Ability to understand and internalise complex technological issues and articulate them to both engineers and non-engineers.
- Lateral Leadership Skills: Ability to collaboratively lead a group of people without being the squad members’ line manager.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience/willingness to host meetings and workshops
- Curiosity and motivation to become an expert and support others with your knowledge
- Willingness to take over tasks and responsibilities, manage expectations, being accountable for the results of the Retention Squad
- Option to work in 75%-100% capacity
