The Sales Products & New Business Team within the Business Unit Commercial Asset Optimisation is our interface to our internal sales and origination units and external professional clients. We provide sales products and commercial capabilities e.g. for Industrial Supply, Green Power Production, Asset Flexibilities and Market Access for CE & APAC.

We are aiming to further grow our green business activities by entering new markets in Continental Europe, enhancing our product portfolio and enlarging the deal flow. A high-performing pricing desk is a prerequisite to achieve this goal in a profitable way. Through our pricing, we guide S&O department which risks should be sold our bought. Furthermore, we are providing decision support for the operational portfolio management teams of the Commercial Asset Optimisation Business Unit. In this area, we are searching for a (Junior) Pricing Analyst Renewables.

As a (Junior) Pricing Analyst Renewables you will:

• Price short-term green power purchase and supply agreements and direct marketing contracts in our core markets in Continental Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, Nordics)
• Provide decision support to the operational portfolio management teams whether to operate the own renewable asset portfolio (“make”) or to release risks to the markets (“buy”)
• Liaise with our operational country experts to adapt the existing models to country specific requirements
• Familiarise yourself with the different regulatory frameworks for renewable production in Continental Europe
• Backtest pricing results against realised results and continuously investigate and improve existing models and input data
• Keep track on market developments, question own assumptions, take a commercial view and decision on external prices
• Maintain an effective communication within the organisation

Your powerful skills

• Strong academic background with a Master’s degree or higher in, e.g., business, economics, engineering, mathematics or physics
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to come to pragmatic solutions
• Proactive personality with the willingness to actively contribute
• Structured working style
• Excellent team player in interdisciplinary teams across the RWE group
• Good communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and to influence decisions
• Good statistical, analytical, and programming skills
• English as a prerequisite, German would be a plus, additional languages are welcome

Advantageous, but not a must

• Ideally "Python" programming skills
