Head of Global CSR
The Global Head of CSR will work closely with all units contributing to CSR in order to ensure in time and high quality CSR-reporting including EU-taxonomy, NFE based on GRI, global compact, SBTI etc., set and control targets and drive improvement in all areas of CSR together with the responsible units.
With zero carbon emission being one of the core targets, the head of corporate social responsibility will also lead a small team of energy managers in order to define the necessary approaches to reduce carbon emissions in scope 1-3 with an initial focus on scope 1 and 2. This includes the reduction of process energy as well as building emissions.
Main responsibilities
Assure the non-financial reporting for the annual report across all aspects of CSR
Assure the reporting to the UN global compact, SBTI as soon as signed, to CSR-rating agencies, etc.
Assure the reporting of scope 1-3 emissions and their development over time
Analyze the current situation of the company concerning all aspects of CSR with a strong focus on carbon emissions and document the findings
Support the implementation of the ESG/EHS software
Manage the cooperation with the EHS- and compliance functions
Define CSR-targets, follow up and document the achievement and integrate this into the NFE-reporting
Support the SBTI-process
Develop an energy strategy with the target to achieve zero carbon emissions in a time frame that needs to be defined together with all units, especially production sites.
Develop a time table of actions/projects to assure the achievement of the target, with an investment and resource plan that can be integrated into the mid-term planning
Own and centrally manage the portfolio of energy saving projects/actions
Be a environmental evangelist, championing the use of energy saving technologies and practices to diffuse an energy saving mindset, communicate the CSR- strategy in the organization
Build, manage and continue to grow an internal and external energy innovation ecosystem, including monitoring competitor advances in relevant technology and overall technical developments in energy production and supply
Manage energy related IP
Work closely with HR to attract and retain top talent, and to build CSR capabilities across the company, lead the CSR team
Job Qualification
Master’s Degree or similar University degree in a relevant field is required as well as 3+ years of CSR or energy management experience
Knowledge and understanding concerning NFE-reporting based on GRI concepts, basic understanding of value and content of other reporting systems
Strategic and target oriented mindset
A good background in relevant trends in energy production and supply technologies
Proven ability to manage conflict & navigate discussions with various stakeholders.
Experience of managing and influencing indirect reports, peers, and leadership.
Excellent communication skills and must be able to create concepts and implementation plans
Capable of working independently and functioning as part of an integrated team.
Self-starter & motivator
English is a must, German or French also required
