Your role and responsibilities
As our freelance Chinese translator, you will be responsible for localizing all Chinese copy at flowkey. You will translate various types of content from different teams such as course content, marketing, messaging, and product. You will be able to see the immediate impact of your work on our app and website and will help us communicate with our users with a consistent brand voice.
Here is an overview of what you’ll be localizing:
- UX copy for our app
- Piano course content
- Emails and other messaging projects to help us connect with users in our Chinese-speaking markets
- Short-form copy for video and static ads (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Long-form ad copy and articles for our ebook and Web magazine
Essential
- Native Chinese speaker specialized in localization to Traditional Chinese
- Outstanding writing skills and a sensitivity to the nuances of words
- Practical experience with translation on the web (social media, blogs, articles)
- Experience playing a musical instrument
- Basic music theory knowledge
Nice to have
- Experience localizing UX copy
- Traditional Chinese copywriting skills
- Basic SEO knowledge
