We are currently looking for a motivated Financial Accountant. In the following role, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance based in Berlin and working closely with other members of the Corporate Team.

Areas of responsibility:
- Supporting the month-end process and consolidation of the group subsidiaries
- Experience with German sales tax, corporation and trade tax, wage tax, social security etc.
- General ledger postings for entity in Germany according to IFRS
- Onboarding of newly acquired companies, enabling monthly reporting in line with group guidelines and IFRS
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly management pack, including the review and analysis of month-end results
- Working collaboratively with local tax advisors, finance teams and management on Forecasting/Budgeting
- Assisting audit queries and liaising with auditors to ensure compliance
- Providing support with ad hoc Group accounting projects
Qualifications:
- Qualification as an account (Finanzbuchhalter) or Bachelor' s Degree in Business/Accounting/ Finance/Economics.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
- Well-founded knowledge in accounting according to HGB, first experience with IFRS
- Good team player
- Can-do person that takes ownership and is able to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Datev desirable but not essential
