As Electrical Design Engineer for Electric Vehicle Test Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the success and addressing business concerns of some of our largest, most important automotive test customers. You will work in the electrical engineering team including specification, planning and project engineering of the customer project solution.
Team Electrical Engineering
- Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts or components for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
- Determines design approaches and parameters.
- Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts tests and evaluates results.
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- Reviews and handles vendor to support product development.
- Creation of the project solution regarding hardware and electrical planning
- Creation of the specification, planning and project engineering of the project solution based on standard hardware modules (products) and installed base solution (regards to hardware)
- Responsible for the creation of project specific documentation (electrical drawing, hardware specification, test specification & system documentation)
Responsibilities Electrical Design Engineer
- Works on test bench and module design for our solutions, including specification, documentation, safety, and validation
- Responsible for technical implementation of project solutions, based on the requirements
- Ensures process compliance for design process and performs review tasks
- Works closely together with EPLAN Designer on implementation of project and module solutions
- Works on safety PLC applications and its validation
- Cross-functional collaboration within the engineering department
- Works directly with production and customer centric solution teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery
Qualifications
- Technician for Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience
- Knowing our Hardware Modules and electrical design & construction of EV test systems
- Knowledge in usage of EN 60204 for Safety and construction of electrical equipment for machinery
- Know How for the tool: EPLAN
- Experience in safety PLC programming (Siemens TIA, PNOZ Multi Config., etc.)
- Display a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Agile, innovative, and critical thinker with a good technical foundation and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical skills with problem-solving and process improvement orientation
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good technical English skills are necessary
