As the Editorial Quality Associate you will conduct quality checks on edited manuscripts, ensuring style guidelines are being adhered to, and editing is of the highest quality.
What you'll do:
- Immersion into Inkitt and mastery of our processes and tools
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of our Galatea style guide
- Implement quality checks on edited manuscripts, ensuring the edits are of a high standard and that the style guidelines are being adhered to
- Provide editors with actionable feedback to improve their editing and continually raise the quality of our books
- Maintain meticulous documentation of quality assurance processes and activities
- Continually assess and optimize our processes when it comes to editorial quality
Who you are:
- Eat, sleep and breathe books!
- Native level English
- MUST HAVE: 3 years of experience as a fiction editor, preferably within the Fantasy/Romance genre
- Experience working with freelancers
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and make decisions
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Excellent documentation and tracking skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and people skills enabling you to give constructive criticism and drive excellence
