How to contribute to our vision
For our core project management team within Siemens Gamesa in Germany, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Manager for planning, organizing, and ensuring that the wind turbine components, tooling, manuals, systems, and relevant facilities, personnel or material needed to for successful installation are in place from the early stages of the process (sales handover) to customer handover.
You will be working closely with different internal teams and stakeholders. Each day is different in this position as you may be:
- collaborating with the site team to monitor installation progress, risks and opportunities
- managing our business partners involved in turbine installation
- supporting the general Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in installation budget control, operational decisions, forecast and extra cost handling (claims, variation orders) as a strong planning, controlling, monitoring and negotiating partner and have delegated authority to make all sub project day-to-day decisions up to the agreed limits.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
- The ideal candidate holds an academic master’s degree in Engineering or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with project management, therefore any certification in Project Management would be a big plus (PMI, IPMA).
- English is the business language you will be using to communicate within the business, but other languages are very welcomed.
- Fluency in German, both orally and in writing, is mandatory.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, SAP and possibly AutoCad, combined with your technical interest and will to learn new IT tools and applications will help you to succeed in this role.
