We are currently looking for a

Bid Manager specialized in proposal management (f/m/d)  for our location in Kassel, Germany

You as Bid Manager with focus on proposal management will manage the Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitment for low critical bids and plan, develop, implement and lead all activities for the preparation and submission of offers for bids of all criticalities You will deliver a winning proposal with a defined scope, accurate QCDP commitments, in a timely manner and within the defined tender budget. You will contribute to the bid team with proposal document organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You manage all aspects of preparation and submission of technical, economic and commercial proposals as well as of pre-qualification in line with the Alstom processes
  • You analyse inquiry documents and create deliverable overview incl. Docu Retroplanning 

  • You explain Share Point Structure for the bid documents and monitor deliverable progress and exchange with authors to assure adherence to StyleGuide, define the proposal timeline and set deadlines. 

  • You define and confirm the proposal review schedule and nominate internal reviewers, persons in charge and get the Bid Director’s commitment. 

  • You create a conformity matrix and follow the fulfillment of the requirements using interface management. 

  • You organize translation offer and set-up uniform layout per deliverable as well as the „skeleton within each deliverable (i.e. title per sub-section)  

  • You determine which areas are most important to the client and will carry most weight to their evaluation and create a questionnaire for the client after bid submittal to collect his feedback. 

  • You support the tender leader in the Lessons Learned process and analyze results for improvement in future tenders. 

 

Qualifications:

  • You have a relevant academic background in finance, economics, science or equivalent experience. Project/Bid Management background may be an advantage but not an obligation. 

  • Self-confident in communication and presentation 

  • You know the tools of MS Office with very good proficiency 

  • High capability to manage efficient teamwork to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time, period and under stressful conditions 

  • High and transparent Communications skills, reporting capabilities 

  • Good Sense of anticipation 

  • Fluent English and German language are mandatory for this role 

  • Knowledge of ALSTOM processes including E&C compliance would be the perfect match, but not explicitly necessary. 

  • Knowlege of proposal process, Sales or Product Management is an advantage but not an obligation
