Your task

As Application and System Manager (m/w/d) for Cloud Communications you will play a central role in contributing to the growth of the new, innovative portfolio focus “Cloud Communications” which includes approaches such as API Exposure, API Enabling and the production of programmable communications services.

• You are taking the lead in creating end-to-end architectures and operational workflows in the Cloud Communications area
• You are creating complex technical concepts and specifications for systems, and provide technology-related guidance up to management level
• You are coordinating and supporting complex rollouts of network-based processes and systems into production operations
• You are guiding internal as well as external partners in system development initiatives, and are collaborating closely with associated teams in an international context
• You will collaborate in a dynamic cross-functional engineering and operational team with broad end-to-end responsibility

Your Profile

You have completed a university degree in the area of communications technologies, computer science or electrical engineering, or have a comparable qualification in related fields, and you have 10+ years of professional work experience in the design, architecture and/or operations of modern IP-based networks.In addition, you possess the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Very good experience in Cloud Communications
• Very good experience in API Exposure/Handling for communications services
• Good experience in environments such as Twilio, Vonage, Sinch or similar frameworks
• Good experience with OSS/BSS systems integration
• Experience with API portals
• Highly developed, detailed knowledge in the development and implementation of technical concepts and specifications
• Strong knowledge of systems/network virtualization approaches
• Good knowledge of network protocols
• Experience in both classic plan-driven as well as agile collaboration approaches, incl. DevOps
• Very strong English reading/writing/conversation skills
• Flexibility, strong self-motivation, and a quick grasp of new situations and knowledge areas
• Self-determined, solution-oriented and customer-oriented ways of working
