Third Party Airlines Technical Operations Manager (f/m/x)

KEY ACTIVITIES

The Third Party Airlines Technical Operations Manager (f/m/x) is responsible for monitoring and improving the technical performance and maintenance of assigned Third Party aircraft fleets to ensure maximum technical dispatch reliability and on-time performance for Aviation Europe.

  • Focus on day-to-day technical issues and take full responsibility of fleet issues
  • Initiate detailed rectification activities in cooperation with the technical department of the Third Party Airline.
  • Oversee daily aircraft into-service-readiness in cooperation with the CAMO organizations of assigned Third Party fleets (‘CAMO’).
  • Identify and monitor recurring defects of aircraft fleets and determine appropriate maintenance actions if required in liaison with CAMO
  • Develop, implement and maintain aircraft reliability (improvement) roadmaps by collaborating with CAMO.
  • Define, monitor and achieve reliability performance targets for each fleet.
  • Verify that Aviation Europe’s quality standards are met by performing on site and remote audits.
  • Support CAMO in securing the right qualifications and expertize in assigned DHL network locations within Europe to support maximum aircraft dispatch reliability and on-time performance
  • Collaborate through the appropriate channels up to global level with suppliers to resolve field issues through Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions
  • Develop and support CAMO with product improvement initiatives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Provide a feedback mechanism from all Third Party Airlines to Aviation Europe and vice versa to resolve joint quality issues.
  • Drive Continuous Process Improvement strategy through identification of new qualifications, preventative maintenance checkpoints or specification to improve overall aircraft reliability.
  • Conduct internal workshops and trainings; participate in appropriate qualification measures for this purpose.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar or a B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance License.
  • At least 5 years work experience in the aviation industry, thereof at least 3 years in a large maintenance organization and 3 years in a management position
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of various narrow-body and wide-body aircraft (Boeing and Airbus types), turboprop aircraft knowledge/ experience of advantage
  • Advanced understanding of compliance management principles and practices in an aviation environment
  • Language Skills:
    • German: B2 and better
    • English: C1 and better
  • Working knowledge of standard office software and industry IT tools, e.g. AMOS/TRAX/Q-Pulse
