Do you want to take a front seat in the energy transition, making an green business even more sustainable? Then join the Sustainability department at RWE’s unit Offshore Wind to drive the implementation of our sustainability strategy. As a team we are shaping the way how we grow globally with the aim to position RWE Offshore Wind as a sustainable sector leader.


We do have the right job for you as Sustainability Performance & Engagement Expert at our unit RWE Offshore Wind if you are passionate to drive the implementation of our sustainability strategy. You would act as the driver for sustainability information/data collection, analysis and reporting within RWE Offshore and interfacing with RWE Group. You deliver effective engagement with and support to RWE Offshore teams globally including senior stakeholders to implement our sustainability strategy.


This is a temporary position, with an aspiration for it to be changed to a permanent position.


Your future plans

  • Drive and coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability / ESG KPIs and information for RWE Offshore Wind globally in close cooperation with other functions and as point of contact (PoC) to RWE Group
  • Act as PoC for RWE Group and the RWE Offshore Wind business amongst others for the Sustainability Reporting process or the collection and reporting of EU Taxonomy non-financial requirements
  • Design, establish and implement Offshore Wind global sustainability processes (e.g. KPI/GHG reporting) & tools (e.g. Dashboards) in close collaboration with the business
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on concepts such as Carbon Footprint or Life Cycle Assessments
  • Drive engagement, awareness creation and education of employees and line managers on the importance of sustainability as part of our corporate culture of care
  • Facilitate sustainability workshops, sessions and performance dialogues with teams to raise awareness and knowledge, and to help drive the roll-out of the sustainability strategy
  • Work closely with international and cross functional teams at RWE Offshore and the wider RWE group to contribute to continuous improvement


Your profile

  • Completed university studies or equivalent in engineering, environmental sciences, business administration or similar studies
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of sustainability or in related business position
  • Comprehensive understanding of the energy industry of advantage
  • Knowledge of and passion for sustainability topics, combined with a solid under-standing of the sustainability landscape for the Renewables sector globally
  • Knowledgeable of global sustainability trends, frameworks and tools of relevance to Renewables such as the SDGs , LCA , GRI , GHG protocol or the EU Taxonomy
  • Experience in working with international companies and in international teams
  • A true team-player with initiative, agile way of working and facilitation skills, independent, structured and analytical way of working
  • Good written and spoken communication skills (in English), persuasiveness and a confident manner, also in an international environment
  • Willingness to regular travel, incl. international travels
