Storage Sales Specialist (f/m/d) Public – Local Government North Germany

The current vacancy is for a Storage Sales Specialist for the Public segment “Local Government North” which is mainly the northern half of Germany. Customers are state authorities (Landesbehörden) and cities. The close cooperation in the respective account team is relevant to success, supported by inside sales and backoffice as well as the integration with presales, the Greenlake team, Zerto Sales, the Business Solutions Group and the Storage Category.

The aim of the Storage Sales Specialist is to gain additional areas and business units from existing customers and to win new accounts for HPE Storage in order to generate growth, as well as to secure and further develop the customers based on the HPE Bridge to Value in the storage environment. Particular attention is paid to the aaS solutions and HPEs own intellectual property products.

In a typical day as a Sales Specialist Storage you:

  • Positioning of the HPE Storage product and solution portfolio with selected customers in the area of industry verticals and service providers
  • Expansion of existing and development of new long-term storage customer and channel partner relationships
  • Focusing on business outcomes for our customers, gladly with the support of our Greenlake Offerings and our HPE software portfolio (Zerto + 3rd Party SW)
  • Deep understanding of the end customer's business drivers in order to implement customer requirements in sustainable HPE business via a comprehensive consulting approach at all levels of the customer
  • Convince customers of the quality and performance of our portfolio as a potential element of their hybrid cloud and digitization strategy
  • Build a well-founded, long-term pipeline for both new and existing storage customers in order to increase the HPE Storage share in the German industry vertical and service provider market through their conclusion
  • Leading projects over the entire lifecycle from initial contact, PoCs, preparation and response to tenders, negotiations to the conclusion of the contract as a lead

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…

  • 5-10 years of sales experience with complex IT solutions, especially storage.
  • Good knowledge of the storage market, especially in the industry vertical and service provider environment
  • Personal responsibility for the Storage + Service + aaS sales
  • Reliability in building a sales pipeline, forecasting and customer management (sales excellence)
  • Knowledge of our storage products and solutions with differentiation from the competition
  • Distinctive customer orientation and consulting skills combined with assertiveness and distinctive technical portfolio skills
  • Team and goal-oriented work
  • Creativity, initiative and reliability
  • Negotiation security
  • Excellent communication, presentation and closing skills
  • Secure communication in German and English
