YOUR TEAM
The CARIAD Connectivity Team's mission is to develop a unified connectivity platform to seamlessly connect the car and the customer using various wireless technologies. We're taking care of the whole development process starting with defining the architecture of the hardware and software, developing functions and integrating the device into various mobile networks all over the world.
Work with us in an agile and interdisciplinary team to develop secure and scalable software solutions that will shape the future of Volkswagen Group.
You will tackle challenging development tasks in the following areas:
- System architecture of next generation automotive connectivity units
- Network access devices and modem technologies
- Mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G) for voice (incl. e-call) and data services
- Car2X communication
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Analyze customer wishes and derive system requirements
- Develop the system architecture in an international team
- Evaluate performance requirements together with SoC suppliers
- Work closely together with hardware engineering to find cost efficient but yet feature rich solutions
- Build up an international network of suppliers
- Review technical concepts
WHO YOU ARE
- Completed studies in telecommunications, computer science or a comparable field and several years of professional experience (for example, connectivity units or modem development)
- Enjoy solving complex problems and implementing them in high-quality systems
- Proven experience designing secure system architectures on complex embedded Linux devices (preferable in telematics/mobile phone domain)
- Strong background in either of:
- IPv4/IPv6-based networks
- WLAN/BT solutions
- Hardening embedded systems (e.g. AppArmor)
- Automotive protocols like SOME/IP
- Experience developing Linux system-level applications in C/C++
- Experience in performing ressource/performance measurements and estimations, experience with AUTOSAR is a plus
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills and fluent english and german language skills
