Arbeiten an der Charité

Research associate in the DFG project “4D Imaging. From image theory to image practice" on the subject of surgery and new imaging techniques (e.g. extended reality). The position at Experimental Surgery at the Chirurgischen Klinik, CCM|CVK is assigned to the junior professorship "Interdisciplinary technology transfer and digitization in surgery" (Moritz Queisner) and part of the interdisciplinary DFG priority programme "The Digital Image" (SPP 2172) Interdisciplinary context: open to all disciplines.

About the project
The project explores techniques of 4D imaging in different fields of application
In the medical sub-project "Learning to see the body" we investige how 4D imaging techniques (e.g. virtual reality) make the human body visible and tangible in a new way
We would like to show how new imaging techniques are changing surgery and biomedicine (especially in surgical diagnostics, in operation planning, in the visualization of research data or in learning anatomical structures)
The aim of the project is the development of best practice approaches to establish 4D imaging techniques in medical practice

Danach suchen wir

Successfully completed studies. Your field of study only plays a subordinate role: e.g. design, computer science, computer visualistics, digital health, ergonomics, media studies, workplace studies, game design.
What counts is a convincing idea for a doctoral project in the field of "4D imaging" with a focus on surgery and/or biomedicine in the context of new imaging technologies (e.g. virtual reality).
Another requirement is the ability to work in an interdisciplinary context
Professional skills in the fields of digital media, imaging techniques, extended reality, medicine, surgery, biomedicine, digital health, knowledge and technology transfer are an advantage
Good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English as well as independent, responsible and team-oriented way of working
