Key responsibilities:
  • Identify and acquire new business through direct customers (BCO’s) in line with our strategy and Area Business Plan
  • A clear focus to drive our “Export & Cross Trade Ocean Agenda” through flexible and short-term actions to fill our ships in the trades where needed
  • Maintain and enlarge a customer portfolio of BCOs that control ocean volumes on specific trades that can easily and quickly be activated where our short-term strategy demands so.
  • Listen to and understand the customer’s pain points, requirements and needs
  • Establish strong and sustainable relationships with the existing and the new customers
  • Seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction
  • Effectively build a strong internal network and closely involve and cooperate with those colleagues from departments such as Sales Support, Customer Experience, Operations, Finance, Implementation, Management, etc. to successfully win, implement and grow the business
  • Research and analyse the key competitive and industry trends
  • Ensure customer relationship management tools are timely updated and are of excellent quality
  • Successfully perform pricing and contract negotiations
  • Be a team player; exchange ideas and views with your colleagues, contribute to team meetings and ensure your voice is being heard
We are looking for:
  • A motivated, performance-oriented and sales-experienced colleague with experience in the logistics industry, local market knowledge is highly desirable
  • Customer centric attitude
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
