Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Sciences III, Institute of Agricultural and Nutritional
Sciences offers from 01.06.2023 a full-time position limited for 3 years as
Research Associate/ Post-Doc (m-w-d)
Remuneration is paid up to pay group 13 TV-L, depending on the assignment of duties and fulfillment of
personal requirements.
Work Tasks
- Participation in the planning and implementation of research projects in the field of nutritional physiology
including the application of various laboratory techniques and models in life science (including cell culture,
animal models)
- Protein analysis in various sample matrices with a focus on mass spectrometric analyses including the
establishment and validation of methods for the analysis of post-translational modifications
- Conducting courses in the field of nutritional physiology (4 SWS)
Possibility of own scientific qualification is given in form of habilitation.
Requirements
- University degree (diploma, master's degree) in the field of life sciences (including Nutritional Sciences,
Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Food Chemistry, Animal Medicine, or comparable fields)
- well completed PhD in the one of the mentioned fields
- Sound knowledge in the field of cell expiermental work
- Solid knowledge in routine methods of life sciences with focus on protein analysis (e.g. Western Blot, ELISA)
- Solid knowledge in the field of mass spectrometric analysis is desirable
- Solid knowledge in statistical data analysis (including mass spectrometry generated data) is desirable
- Experience in the analysis of post-translational modifications is desirable
- Experience in animal experimental work is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and interest in collaboration with national and international partners
- Teaching experience is desirable
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- At least basic knowledge of German
