The Data and Analytics division (DAA) is dedicated to data asset creation, data management and engineering, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. We shape and coordinate Munich Re’s agenda in these fields to take advantage of the growing opportunities provided by data and analytics. Our goal is to enable new and better business for our core business and enable the creation of new strategic business models through data and analytics.
The Data Management and Engineering team is the key provider of technology, processes and AI to drive the execution of Munich Re’s data strategy. We strategically invest in scalable, easy-to-use and AI-augmented technology to create and operationalise high-quality data products using internal, external, structured and unstructured data. At the exciting forefront of the digital transformation and the rapidly growing importance of data, it is our mission to enable the organisation to generate additional bottom-line results by leveraging the power of data.
We are looking for a product owner with impressive expertise in data engineering to drive our technology road map towards a data product organisation.
Your job
- Shaping a vision and product road map for our central data platform, supporting a decentralised data product organisation
- Using state-of-the art AI methods such as modern language models and knowledge graphs to automate the creation and linking of data products
- Collaborating closely with business-led data teams from F&C, Life and Non-Life in Europe, Singapore, the US and Canada
- Capturing and prioritising requirements from decentralised data teams and the data assets team, maximising the bottom-line impact for Munich Re
- Working together with IT delivery teams on-site and nearshore in the role of a business product owner
Your profile
- Passion for data, product thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Understanding of reinsurance business in Non-Life, Life or F&C
- Experience in working as a product owner in an agile setup
- University degree in computer science, physics, maths or an equivalent degree
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Flexibility and a curious and creative mindset, openness to new things and an ability to propose innovative ideas
