Postdoctoral Scientist in Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics (m/f/d)

Main focus of the core facility is the development and provision of innovative workflows and methods for mass spectrometric analysis of all types of small molecules and lipids in biological materials. To strengthen our expertise in proteomics we are looking for a highly motivated well-trained postdoc in this field.
  • Establishment of workflows for HR-MS based proteomics from different biological matrices
  • Establishment of HR-MS based quantification of endogenous proteins and therapeutic proteins (e.g. monoclonal humanized antibodies)
  • Analysis of proteomics datasets using biostatistics and bioinformatics
  • Supervision of technicians and master or PhD students
  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline
  • Experience and solid background in proteomics/protein analysis
  • Hands on experience in high resolution mass spectrometry (ideally with Orbitrap mass spectrometer)
  • Experience in biostatistical analysis of complex data sets
  • Interest in personalized medicine and clinical pharmacology
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills

  • State-of-the-art equipment in analytical instruments and expert knowledge in statistical data analysis within the biostatistical core facility
