Get in touch with us if you are looking to be a part of creating hope for a healthy future in many people's lives.As an Associate Director* Global Scientific Affairs at BioNTech, you will support internal and external scientific needs for the Infectious Disease portfolio:
- Drive delivery and update of Medical Affairs slide decks and assets reflecting latest clinical trial data and evidence supporting an integrated evidence plan, for internal and external use
- Provide scientific and technical support for external experts, vaccine recommendation authorities and academic centres of excellence to ensure access to current medical and scientific information
- Provide internal and external scientific training
- Deliver credible scientific data presentations to external experts and academic centres of excellence
- Leads the development of scientific responses to complex enquiries from key regulatory authorities and governments
- Develops current and up to date knowledge of clinical data for the BioNTech Infectious Disease portfolio and competitors and translates these into strategic insights
- Delivers product and competitor data insights to internal and external stakeholders to ensure latest insights are available
- Support first line medical review and approval of all internal and external materials and activities
- Drafts core scientific narratives to support the pipeline infectious disease programme and COVID-19
- Appropriate scientific/medical qualification (Pharmacist, PhD or Medic). Preference for an immunology or epidemiology post graduate qualification
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, medical writing and presentation skills
- Mandatory: At least 3-5 consecutive years experience working in vaccines in a research setting, government affairs or at a pharma/biotechnology company OR 8 years consecutive infectious disease experience in the pharmaceutical/regulatory/clinical development/policy sector
- Experience as a Scientific or Medical Advisor or Medical Manager in an above country role (EU/EMEA/International or Global) is desirable
- Experience and understanding working with Country and Regional Codes of Practices (including EFPIA) desirable
