We are looking for an interim Merchandising Manager (d/f/m) to join our team in Berlin for a period of one year with the option for a long-term contract. In this role you shall increase the efficiency of retailers, while using data and experience to make recommendations on the kind of products Highsnobiety sells, about our buying budgets, our prices and discounts.
YOUR MISSION:
- Setting seasonal brand and category budgets working closely with our buying team at each stage of the planning process
- Develop range plans for top brands to support the buying process as well as carrying out extended forecasts on carryover lines to ensure strong performance
- Deep forecast, analysis and range plans for our own collection, ensuring growth while maintaining a fast sell-through
- Make product and category recommendations for shop and collection expansion
- Optimize pricing and markdown strategy and unit economics with our buying team
- Trade the department on a weekly basis looking at deliveries, the performance of stock and relevant actions
- Suggest and develop new ways of working within the current structures to improve in-season trading and reporting
- Provide ad hoc analysis on specific brands or categories on request
- Liaise with other departments, such as Buying, Retail, Activation/Marketing, Data, Operations
YOUR SKILLS:
- 3+ years experience in Merchandise Planning, preferably in a fashion-related company
- Academic degree in Business or equal education
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a strong sense for detail and a passion for numbers
- Proactive, autonomous, reliable and organized
- Open-minded team player with intercultural experience
- Flexible, "Hands-on" mentality
- MS-Office (high proficiency in Excel), experience in using Business Intelligence tools is a plus
- Fluent in English, spoken and written. German is a plus
