Medical Advisor – Eosinophilic Diseases (m/w/d)

The Medical Advisor – Eosinophilic Diseases is an office-based, field-directed medical professional, who uses medical knowledge and medical insights to develop and execute the country medical affairs plan under the general supervision of the Medical Affairs Lead. The Medical Advisor engages in peer-to-peer communication, provides cutting edge scientific information to external stakeholders and medical advice to internal stakeholders such as market access, commercial and clinical colleagues.

This is a position with focus on severe eosinophilic asthma. It offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with the ambition to apply science to shape healthcare and deliver solutions to close the gaps in care.

In this role you will be responsible for

  • Development and execution of the Medical Affairs plan in alignment with the global strategy while reflecting the specifics of the country, e.g. different standards of care, reimbursement timeline
  • Planning and implementation of local Medical Affairs activities within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Active knowledge acquisition in the therapeutic area; ability to interpret and communicate clinical study data in line with evidence-based-medicine principles
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with external experts, healthcare institutions and scientific societies
  • Planning and execution of advice seeking activities; contributing to GSK sponsored meetings and symposia, preparing, and delivering scientific presentations
  • Active acquisition of knowledge from the external environment on current medical standards and guidelines as well as GSK products
  • Close collaboration with marketing functions for the development of promotional and educational materials in line with the Pharmaceutical Law, GSK Code of Practice and other standards
  • Collaboration with the global therapeutic area team for scientific exchange and co-creation of the disease area strategy and tactics

  • Advanced medical or life science degree (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD)
  • Several years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including Medical Affairs
  • Growth mindset with the willingness and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Ambitious for patients, accountable for impact, agile in execution
  • Experience in the following therapeutic areas is highly desirable: respiratory diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases,
  • Flexibility to travel in Germany; international travel may be required
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in German and English

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Preferably relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: respiratory diseases, rare diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases
