Technical Skills required
- More than 3 years’ experience with financial accounting – ideally in a German Life Insurance company or other Financial Services Organisation
- Strong HGB, IFRS and Solvency II skills
- Ideally SAP R3 knowledge
- Very familiar with MS Excel and PowerPoint; focus on automating reporting
- Experienced in managing projects
- Fluent in business English and German
- Ability to read and generate accountancy reports in German

This insurance and reinsurance group focused on the European market is growing and following a large acquisition they are looking for a credible individual to support the firm’s expansion of their Finance function.
The role will encompass coordination and support implementation of Accounting & Reporting of the new life insurance entity and lead on the transfer of Accounting & Reporting activities for the new portfolio until closing with responsibility for the accounting administration after its integration.

About the department:
Our Finance department in Germany is responsible for Financial Planning, Accounting & Reporting under German GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II for all German entities. The Team Finance – Accounting & Reporting deals with the topics German GAAP, IFRS Accounting and Regulatory Reporting and is also responsible for the integration of our new portfolio in our Accounting environment. During the integration phase the function works closely with the CFO, the team Financial Accounting & Reporting, but also as the representative and interface within the integration project . The person will organize and prepare the transfer of Accounting & Reporting activities for the new portfolio until closing and will be responsible for the accounting administration after its integration.
