What you'll do


Summary:

As a project consultant (f/m/d) in Central Research Services you will provide end-to-end support to teams within SAP taking part in publicly funded collaborative R&D projects. With your expertise in terms of public funding you will - in alignment with a technical project lead - take over project management and administration tasks during proposal preparation as well as during project negotiation, execution and closing. In general, you will support several projects running in parallel in one or more business units.


The Role:

The responsibilities of a Project Consultant in the context of publicly funded projects include planning and monitoring of the project budget in close alignment with the respective business unit. You will ensure that all reporting obligations towards the funding agencies are fulfilled on time and consult the projects to ensure compliance with funding guidelines, internal policies and other legal requirements. Managing project risks, handling the communication with funding authorities and project partners on all administrative matters arising in the projects, and preparíng the relevant documentation records for potential financial audits by public authorities are futher important tasks.


What you bring


  • Academic degree (Bachelor or Master)
  • Some practical experience in project management, in monitoring and controlling in collaborative R&D projects
  • Experience in publicly funded projects is a plus
  • High language proficiency in German as well as in English (oral and written) as you will be working in multi-national projects
  • Passion, ability to work under pressure, high level of proactivity, dedication to taking responsibility and ensuring quality are essential
  • Very structured, self-directed, team-oriented, and hands-on working style with excellent prioritization skills
  • Communicative personality, combined with the ability to present complex content in a comprehensible manner
