Job Description

As our new (Junior) Consultant (m/f/d) Bid Management, you will be part of our international Business Intelligence & Sales function which is responsible for all proposal / sales processes and supports our global wind business with client & market insights in various geographies.


In your role, you will be the project owner of assigned processes and lead the overall bid process. You will ensure a well-organized and on-track bid process and manage all tasks, deadlines, documents and data. You will work closely with Project Managers and their respective project teams to develop and produce high-quality proposals. Based on your in-depth knowledge about market opportunities, you will also support our key account and geography meetings to ensure collaboration across countries and services.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as:

  • Proactively leading the bid process and managing the bid team for international offshore wind engineering (mainly bottom-fixed and floating WTG foundations), Asset Management and Project Development & Advisory proposals (esp. re: time, quality, compliance, liability, personnel resources, budget and governance) ensuring a high-quality, on-track bid process
  • Managing bid project incl. bid strategy, technical proposal, meetings, deliverables, deadlines, PMO standards, tools & IT and preparation of all proposal materials
  • Ensuring compliance and quality of proposal documents
  • Managing input / output from various workstreams inside and outside the company throughout the bid development process and ensuring the quality of this work
  • Handling all administrative matters including document handling, project creation, etc.
  • Documentation and recording of client- and project-relevant data into various databases (e.g., CRM, Project Integration, resource planning)
  • Support external interface management towards project partners, stakeholders and clients
  • Preparing strategic Management Board decisions as part of the decision / quality gate process
  • Analysing success factors, preparing presentations and participating in further developing / implementation of bid management tools and other aids as part of best practice
  • Supporting the preparation of pre-qualifications and proposals for existing or prospective clients
  • Optimising the tender process, establishing guidelines and templates for effective tender processes
  • Supporting key account management / geography meetings, ensuring closed link to CRM and maintain holistic maintenance of data cross accounts


Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Communication, or similar / or a very motivated self-starter with a successfully completed commercial apprenticeship
  • Some professional experience in project and/or tender management, preferably in the energy sector
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to apply project management disciplines to drive and achieve successful delivery within agreed parameters of timescale and quality
  • Attention to detail and structured approach
  • Ability to digest and synthetize large volumes of information in relatively short time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with MS Project or other project management applications
  • Knowledge of effectively working with CRM systems
  • Customer oriented approach as well as self-reliant, reliable and structured way of working.
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for analytical and persuasive presentations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all various level of management within the company and with potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors and partners
