Integrated Product Team Lead - Precision Nephrology (m/f/d)


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead the global development, market entry and commercialization strategy of one program (or one program with follow up program) in line with the portfolio strategy
  • In line with Precision Nephrology Strategy, the IPT lead will develop, drive, and adjust program strategy, vision, and purpose to deliver and commercialize a high value product
  • Be vested with far-reaching program-related decision powers, and be responsible for the financial steering of long-term budget(s) as assigned by the Pharma’s Strategic Program Committee
  • Be responsible for creation and maintenance of the target product and target value profile(s), driving value maximization of the product including possible diversture
  • Be responsible for composing, shaping, coaching, and maintaining a motivated and high performing IPT, hold team members and functional representatives accountable for their deliverables, virtual management of several teams
  • Represent the IPT to the highest management level within Bayer and to outside stakeholders
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and consultation of (internal, external) counseling boards whenever deemed technically, operationally, and/or strategically necessary to counsel the IPT
  • Actively participate in an IPT cross Research and Development (R&D) and Thearpeutic Area (TA) communities to exchange and leverage collective experiences and knowledge to accelerate programs

WHO YOU ARE


  • University degree in Life Sciences, engineering, technical discipline or similar education; advanced degree preferred e.g., MBA, PhD, PharmD or MD
  • Long-term experience in leading cross-functional teams in the pharma environment, preferably across development, marketing, sales, medical, market access; experience in drug development is required
  • Deep understanding of preclinical and translational research and early clinical development and proven experience in drug discovery
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset and courage to constantly challenge ways of working and status quo, strives for continuous improvement
  • Business acumen as well as in-depth understanding of the end-to-end drug development process, product value, and portfolio value demonstration and experience in managing global program budgets
  • Ability to drive/influence decision-making across all levels of the organization, strong stakeholder management capabilities
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and an inclusive leadership style who models the new ways of working as well as experience in managing cross functional teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; fluent in business English, both written and spoken
